Baby Walnut : Sick / Absent Children during Exams :

If your child is sick and misses out on an exam, it is absolutely fine! Kindly do not send your child to school under such circumstances.
The oral exams are conducted during the entire exam week. If the student is absent on a certain day in that week, it is fine. The teacher will conduct the exam for that student on any other day in that week too. This is valid till the last day of the exam week as marked in the calendar.

If your child is sick and therefore absent for the entire duration of the exam week, again - it is absolutely fine. Students will be promoted to the next class even if they do not appear for any exam all throughout the year.

No! We recommend your child takes some well - deserved rest and gets well soon.
Exams keep happening. The child can always catch the next one.
These exams are important, but not more important than your child’s health and
well - being. सिर सलामत तो पगड़ी पचास!
We suggest you save this जोश for when your child is in Std. 8, 9 and 10 - for that is when we really need your support in making sure students don’t miss out on exams!
We have seen parents send their children to school even when the children are so sick that they cannot stand properly or even concentrate on what’s going on in school. This causes a lot of stress for the sick child as well as for the school staff.
Please do not bring your sick child to school, and argue with the office team. We will NOT be accepting sick children.
If a sick student still comes to school, the student will only be released as per the regular pick-up timings. Students will not be allowed to leave before the school is over for the day. There are no early pick-ups on exam days.
